A Functional Representation
The landscape is the space where humans live their lives and weave their narratives. It encompasses a wide range of human activities, from personal relationships and artistic pursuits to industrial endeavors and even conflicts. Moreover, the landscape is shaped by both human actions and the forces of nature. Countless activities occur simultaneously within the landscape, each leaving its mark.
My photographic practice aims to explore the relationships between human beings and the landscape to raise issues regarding its utilization/exploitation and its perception. Employing slightly different methodological assumptions, the whole of my photographic research is supposed to create a balanced representation of the landscape in terms of social weight. In doing so, my research combines urban and landscape analysis with social studies, taking into consideration aesthetic and technical elements of contemporary photography.
